ScarLip set social media ablaze with a poolside pic so heavily edited that fans are calling it “AI art gone wrong.”

The Bronx-born rapper, known for her raw bars and unfiltered energy, caused a stir online after sharing a set of poolside photos that had fans doing a double-take. Dressed in a metallic gold bikini and standing fierce by a luxury apartment pool, Scarlip looked stunning at first glance. But the longer folks looked, the more something just wasn’t adding up… especially around the cheeks. And we’re not talking about her face.

Social media lit up with accusations that the ‘This is New York’ rapper used AI or heavy photo editing to enhance her look, specifically her backside. In one viral image, her left buttock appears unnaturally warped, curving inward in a way that defies both gravity and human anatomy. Meanwhile, the right cheek is smoother but oddly shaped. Add in the warped pool tiles near her thigh and the sudden change in skin texture, and fans were quick to cry out.

“She’s fine, no doubt. But that edit is wild,” one commenter posted. Another fan joked, “Not the AI booty malfunction! It’s giving Photoshop panic at 3 a.m.”

The bikini itself was gorgeous. ScarLip rocked a gold halter bikini with curved cups that hugged her bust as if it were made for her. The string bottoms were cut high at the hip, giving that snatched, leggy look. She paired it with nude heels and a waist-length, straight hairstyle, topped off with minimal jewelry and full coverage on her face. In terms of styling, it was serving everything.

Soon after the high, zoomed-in screenshots and side-by-side comparisons began circulating, with internet sleuths pointing out how the lighting around her glutes appeared “computer-generated.” Others claimed the subtle warping along the pool edge is a dead giveaway of Facetune or Photoshop. Some even went as far as to say the entire image may have been AI-enhanced.

Still, not everyone was here for the dragging. Some fans defended ScarLip, pointing out that nearly every celebrity edits their photos to some degree. “Let’s not act brand new,” one fan wrote. “Y’all fave influencers have been tweaking pics for years.”

But others pushed back, saying the heavily edited photo feels off-brand for an artist like ScarLip, who’s made a name for herself by being raw, real, and unfiltered both in her music and her journey.

Earlier this year, she made headlines for sharing that she planned to remove the scar that inspired her stage name, opening up about her healing process after trauma.
