Simone Biles has already dominated the gymnastics world. Now she’s taking her talents to the world of entertainment after securing her very own reality television series.
“Daring Simone Biles,” a 10-episode series, will premiere on Snapchat.
The show centers on the 32 Olympic and World Championship award-winning athlete as she takes all-new risks trying things she’s never done, Variety reports.
Biles will try her hand at DJ’ing and even beekeeping.
This is not the first time fans will be able to see Biles up close and personal.
She previously starred in the series “Simone vs Herself,” which followed her leading up to and through the Tokyo Olympics. Biles also served as executive producer for the 2018 Lifetime biopic “The Simone Biles Story: Courage to Soar.”
Biles even tried her hand at acting on the series finale of “Black-ish” in April.
The athlete had had a whirlwind year.
In February, she announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend, Jonathan Owens.
“WOKE UP A FIANCÉE 💍💍😭,” she captioned a post featuring several photographs of the momentous occasion. “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married! 🕊🤎@jjowens_3.”
Biles met the Houston Texans football player in 2020 after matching on the Raya dating app.
“He would say I slid into his DMs,” Biles said in an interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine last year. “I saw him and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s pretty cute,’ so I said ‘hi’… and then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.”
Owens told Texas Monthly also told January 2021 that the pandemic allowed them time to know each other better.
“It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything,” he said. “So we used it to get to know each other—really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now I’m so thankful.”
