Singer and songstress SZA has laid rumors to rest about recent work she’s had done after confirming that yes, she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

In a recent ELLE interview, the 33-year-old New Jersey native admitted that she did the procedure to fit her clothes better.

“I always wanted a really fat ass with less gym time,” SZA said. “I didn’t succumb to industry pressure, I succumbed to my own eyes in the mirror and being like, No, I need some more ass.”

She even joked that she treats her new body like an accessory, a “thing which can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive,” according to Oxford Dictionary.

“I hate trying on clothes,” she said. “I don’t shop anywhere. I just wear whatever is free in my mail. I’m like, ‘Is it an extra large? Great.’ If I can feel like I’m under a blanket when I’m outside, that’s ideal. I treat my butt like a purse. It’s just there to enhance whatever else. And that’s why I paid for it, because it works all by itself.”

When asked why she chose to discuss her new body in her music, the singer said, “That’s some Jersey sh*t. You know what I’m saying? When I feel like I have too much to say and I don’t want to say it cute.”

News of SZA’s derrière enhancement comes at a time when a growing number of celebrities have chosen to reverse surgical procedures they’ve had done on their posteriors.

In March, Blac Chyna shared with the world that she underwent a breast and butt reduction as part of a “life-changing journey” she is embarking on.

In January, Queen Naija admitted she regretted getting a BBL.

“I didn’t think it was going to do that much,” leaving commenters to weigh in on Instagram.

“I feel so bad for insecure women in this generation. Know your worth and love the skin you’re in. Nothing will make you perfect,” one commenter wrote after watching Queen Naija’s confession.

In June 2022, Cardi B said on Instagram Live that she had 95 percent of her butt shots removed over the summer.

And in March 2022, K. Michelle said that she needed to have 13 operations to recuperate from complications from botched butt shots procedures.
