Tamar Braxton Hospitalized Following Reports of Suspected Suicide Attempt

Singer and television host Tamar Braxton has been hospitalized amid reports that she attempted to commit suicide during her stay at a Los Angeles hotel.

According to The Blast, ambulance crews were called to the scene by Braxton’s partner, David Adefeso, after she was found unresponsive.

“Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day – more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her,” a spokesperson told the outlet.

Once the authorities arrived at the scene, Adefeso claimed that Braxton “had been drinking and had taken an unknown amount of prescription pills.”

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to The Blast that they received a medical emergency call around 9:45 p.m. regarding a 43-year-old woman and a “possible overdose.”

The tragic news comes just hours after Braxton announced that her YouTube show was being put on hold.

“Hello Ya’ll Unfortunately, Your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today’s show (Don’t worry it’s not Covid) We’re sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week’s show is going to be even bigger and better,” she said in the message shared to social media. “So sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. we’ll make it up to you next week.”

Braxton and Adefeso film a weekly YouTube show called “Coupled & Quarantined.”

Fans have taken to social media to flood the star’s timeline with well-wishes.
