Tamron Hall, the Emmy-winning talk show host and journalist, delivered an inspiring keynote at the 2025 Women’s Day event at The Abyssinian Baptist Church celebrating the power of women supporting women.

In her speech, Hall shared her personal journey from being raised by a single mother to becoming a trailblazing media icon, crediting an “extraordinary alliance of women” for lifting her up along the way.

“People say Black women don’t support Black women. That women don’t support women. The devil is a lair,” Hall passionately declared.

She recounted the pivotal role women played throughout her life—from the aunts who picked her up after school to the women at her church who continued to cheer for her success.

“They built me this way,” she said.

Acknowledging the strength and encouragement she received from those around her, said she comes across as courageous and resilient because of the unwavering support of the women who guided her.

“I am an ordinary child of a single mom, but an extraordinary alliance of women raised me,” she said.
