Hollywood actress Taraji P. Henson is putting her June wedding on pause, citing concerns over the sweeping COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m pausing because there’s so much to take into consideration now. I think we’ve all been changed after this — My grandmother who’s 96, his grandmother who’s 86, my mother who’s now 70, my aunts and uncles who are up there. And I just lost an uncle who we think had complications of corona,” she told Hollywood Access.
“It’s a lot to think about and I just think… pause, stop and just think this thing through. We will be forever changed, humanity will be forever changed after this.”
Henson got engaged to NFL star Kelvin Hayden in May 2018. She shared the news with her fans via her Instagram account.
“I said yes y’all!!! He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!,” she wrote in the post’s caption.
In January, she spoke to People magazine, telling them that she is in no hurry to walk down the aisle.
“I don’t have a date yet,” said Henson, 48. “I’m trying for the summer. I have scripts coming in, you know — you got to strike while the iron is hot — and he is patient.”
We’re sorry for Henson’s loss, but we look forward to congratulating her when she and Hayden tie the knot this summer.
