Tashara Parker, a four-time Emmy-winning journalist celebrated for amplifying underrepresented voices, recently took to social media to deliver an empowering message about embracing authenticity and living unapologetically.
Her video, captioned with the powerful statement, “Being loud is about standing in your truth, living in alignment, and showing up fully, unapologetically,” is sparking conversations about the importance of self-expression and resilience.
In the video, Parker tackled the concept of being “loud,” a term often misinterpreted as being boastful or overbearing.
“Many times I’ve been asked why I choose loud,” Parker explained. “It’s about standing in your truth, living authentically, and being unapologetic about how you show up.”
She revealed her own struggles with the fear of failure, sharing a personal story about withholding the news of her multiple Emmy nominations.
“Twice I’ve been nominated for seven or eight Emmys in a single cycle, but I didn’t post or share about it out of fear of failing in public,” she admitted.
Reflecting on this decision, Parker called it a mistake driven by insecurity. “I want us to be loud about everything we stand for—our wins, our losses, and how we process them.”
Parker explained that being loud isn’t about volume; it’s about presence
“Be loud in how you choose to show up. Be loud in your wins and how you process your losses. Be extra loud,” she encouraged.
Known for her dedication to crafting narratives that inspire change, Parker continues to use her platform to uplift others while challenging societal norms that encourage shrinking in the face of adversity.
