Beyoncé has officially retired her floating Cadillac and debuted a glittering gold horse for the Atlanta leg of her Cowboy Carter tour after a terrifying midair car malfunction last month.

After a heart-stopping moment in Houston that had fans holding their breath, Beyoncé has made a major switch on her Cowboy Carter Tour, and the new upgrade is legendary. Gone is the floating red Cadillac she used for her dramatic “16 Carriages” finale. In its place? A jaw-dropping golden flying horse, because only Queen Bey could turn a technical malfunction into an even more iconic moment.

During her June 28th show in her hometown of Houston, Texas, things got tense. While performing the powerful “16 Carriages,” Beyoncé was being carried above the crowd in a vintage-style red Cadillac, a signature part of her Cowboy Carter performances. But mid-flight, something went wrong.

The car began to tilt uncomfortably, dangling over the stadium as fans looked on in shock. Beyoncé, ever the pro, kept her cool.

“Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,” she told her crew, calm and composed while suspended midair.

The BeyHive watched anxiously, but the queen never flinched. Smiling through the suspense, she was slowly lowered back to the stage.

“Thank you for your patience,” she told the crowd, unbothered and still graceful. “If ever I fall, I know y’all would catch me.”

Flash-forward to July 10 in Atlanta, opening the first of her four-show run at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, she scrapped the red car entirely and debuted her newest midair vehicle: a flying gold horse.

Suspended above the crowd, Beyoncé floated around the arena like a celestial cowgirl goddess, draped in elegance and power. Fans screamed, phones flew in the air, and videos instantly made their way onto social media.

“Only Beyoncé could go from a floating car to a flying golden horse and make it make sense,” one fan posted.

“She turned a tech issue into a fashion-forward rebirth. Queen behavior,” said another.

Beyoncé has three more shows in Atlanta, and then she’s headed to Las Vegas to wrap up this unforgettable tour.
