It’s been nearly two months since 17-year-old Arice Nixon disappeared from Maple Heights, Ohio—and her family is still desperately searching for answers.
Authorities are urging the public to stay alert and speak up as Nixon remains officially missing since Feb. 9 2025, according to the Maple Heights Police Department.
As part of Cleveland 19’s ongoing series “The Missing,” anchor Gabby Hart spotlighted Nixon’s case on Monday, reminding viewers that community vigilance can help bring missing teens home.
“Think about someone you know this age,” Hart said. “She hasn’t been seen in almost two months. That’s why we need you.”
Nixon is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 117 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police have not shared further details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
“We don’t have a lot of the whys or hows right now. That’s why we need you,” Hart added in the segment. “Really look at her face. Does it spark a memory?”
Authorities are stressing that even the smallest detail could be the clue they need. They’re asking anyone with information to call the Maple Heights Police Department at (216) 662-1234. And while some people online may claim to have seen Nixon on social media, Hart reminded viewers that the young woman is still a confirmed missing person.
“If you have real information, if you know where they are—don’t just type a comment. Make the call,” she urged.
As Nixon’s loved ones continue to hope for her safe return, the public is being asked to share her photo, spread the word, and stay alert. Community awareness remains one of the most powerful tools in reuniting families and bringing missing youth home.
If you’ve seen Arice Nixon or know anything about her whereabouts—say something.
