The young math prodigy from Nigeria scored a flawless 100% in the primary category of the prestigious National Mathematics Competition, earning her a scholarship worth N21 million (approximately $13,000 USD).
The Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN), which organizes the competition, awarded Zara the scholarship to cover her education at Evergreen College in Enugu for the next six years.
The announcement of Zara’s remarkable achievement was made by Alex Onyia, an education activist and CEO of Educare, who proudly shared the news on social media.
“Ugwoezuonu Ogechi Zara scored a perfect 100% in the primary category of the National Mathematics Competition organized by MAN,” Onyia wrote on X, commending the young scholar’s exceptional talent.
