Last week, Nicki Minaj released tracks âBarbie Tingzâ and âChun-Liâ after a brief hiatus away from the spotlight.
Both tracks were premiered by Beats 1 Radio host Zane Lowe, who goes into depth with Minaj her relationship with Meek Mill, friction with Cardi B and the reason she took a time-out from social media.
Speaking on Cardi B, she said:
âSheâs done exactly what she should have done. Sheâs gone full steam ahead. Congratulations to her. The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after âMotorSportâ came out. I remember when I first came in the game, if a female of that stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you. The first interview she did after âMotorSportâ came out, it just really hurt me. She looked so aggravated and angry. The only thing she kept saying was, âI didnât hear that verse. She changed her verse.â I was like, âWhat?â I remember when I first did a song with Trina for the first time, thatâs why âtil this day, I love Trina. Sheâs the first female rapper that acknowledged me behind the scenesâŠYouâve never heard me speak ill of Trina because of that. Thatâs very important. Her most recent interview, Cardi, thatâs when I came back on Instagram, I saw it, and I finally felt like she said something genuinely nice about me. But âMotorSport,â I kinda felt ambushed.â
