Lil’ Kim is not happy about how she appears in the latest cover of Ebony magazine, prompting her to speak up about it.
Earlier this month, Ebony unveiled that the Queens rapper was their latest cover star and is seen seated ever so elegantly while wearing a pink robe and tiara on her head. The cover is one of five covers celebrating the most impactful emcees in hip hop.
But rather than people commemorating the cover, they are instead raising eyebrows about how Kim appears – causing even the Queen B herself to speak up.
Most people noticed that Kim appears extremely airbrushed. The magazine’s director of photography, Keith Major, decided to respond to one commenter, stating “Man, she wanted to be in control of the retouching so this is what we got.”
Well, it appears Kim got wind of Major’s comment and took to her Instagram Stories to decry his statement.
“Who is this?! Cuz [sic] that’s not the photo I approved or any other content they’ve put out,” Kim wrote alongside the cover image. She further added that she thinks she “looks like a painting,” but her team “didn’t wanna listen.”
She continued: “They said they loved it. It’s the sabotage for me. The funny shit about this, is that this is THEIR retoucher,” she said.
Numerous reports suggest that the Quiet Storm rapper has had a nose job, cheek implants, lip injections, breast implants and more, adding that she was one of the first female rap artists to go under the knife. Although she has been mum to discuss any plastic surgery she has undergone, she has yet to deny any of the rumors. Meanwhile, scores of other female celebrities have opened up expressing regret over work they have done in the past, including Blac Chyna, who in March took to Instagram Monday to share that she was currently preparing to have her breasts and butt reduced as part of a “life-changing journey” she is currently embarking on.
The former stripper began the post detailing how doctors were going to remove her “a*s shots” while educating her 16 million followers about the difference between a BBL (Brazilian butt lift) and silicone injections. The latter, she said, is a decision she regrets.
