R&B singer Kelly Price has left fans shocked with her recent revelation on social media, exposing what she calls the “despicable and disgusting” behavior of well-known preachers and gospel artists who allegedly approached her with indecent proposals.

In an Instagram Live video during the first week of 2024, Price shared her experience but refrained from disclosing specific names, stating that she will only reveal them for a fee.

Price, who started singing in church as a child and reminded her fans that she’s an R&B artist who recorded a Gospel album. She then expressed her disappointment with the lives of people in the gospel music industry.

She mentioned touring with both gospel and R&B artists, witnessing behavior that she found disheartening.

The singer provided a glimpse into her experiences, mentioning that she observed the behavior of these artists and preachers up close during tours and shows.

She claimed that some preachers tried to engage in inappropriate relationships with her, stating:

“Some of your favorite preachers all over your timeline and in your YouTube right now, that if they could have gotten me in my bed or in their bed, they would have. But I don’t play those games.”

Fans reacted with shock and curiosity, urging Price to reveal names, while others questioned the authenticity of her holiness after hearing her use explicit language in the video.

This revelation from Kelly Price comes amid a larger debate about the intersection of the sacred and secular within gospel circles.

Notably, gospel singer Kirk Franklin faced criticism for his behavior during a reunion tour, and other prominent preachers, including Bishop William Murphy Jr. and Bishop T.D. Jakes, have also been in the spotlight for various reasons.

As the conversation around the alleged secret lives of gospel artists and preachers continues, Price’s remarks have ignited discussions about transparency and accountability within the gospel music community.
