Candace Owens headlined after aiming at Taylor Swift, saying the pop star was using her music to feed into her “psychotic” behavior.
Candace Owens’s controversial remarks on Taylor Swift, calling her names like “insane”, and “manipulative” at DailyWire+’s Backstage event has torn the internet apart.
“Obviously, if you’ve seen what she’s done in business and how she’s tried to manipulate her audience to get out of deals and contracts, she’s totally insane,” Candance Owens stated when Taylor Swift’s topic came up.
In October 2023, Owens called Taylor Swift “fake, plastic, and “unauthentic”. She also went hard on the pop star’s dating life, declaring that no man can marry Swift because she has a “lot of personalities.”
A year later, Candace Owens is still giving bad reviews about the singer despite her successful music career.
She claimed Taylor Swift uses her fans to attack her opponents whenever she doesn’t “get what she wants,” touching on how the pop icon dealt with the Scooter Braun case when he “did nothing wrong other than purchase her catalog.”
“What she does is basically the threat that if she doesn’t get what she wants, she writes a song about a guy and then has 15 million girls sing the song and drops little clues so they know who it’s about. I mean, it’s totally psychotic,” Candance Owens added.
When one of the hosts, Matt Walsh, told Candace that calling the 14-time Grammy winner “the most toxic feminist” was a bold statement. He contended that some Swift haters benefit her by making her more relevant to those who would otherwise ignore her.
The activist retorted that Swift once claimed that Lena Dunham taught her about feminism.
Candace Owens defined toxic feminism as Swift’s desire to sell herself as a “victim” to earn billions of dollars and a devoted fan base.
