Comedian Jess Hilarious Shares Her Regret Over Chadwick Boseman Joke: ‘This Is The Only Regret I Have In My Career’

Comedian Jess Hilarious recently shared a rare moment of remorse during an appearance on The Dr. Wendy Show, revealing a lasting regret about a joke she made regarding the late Chadwick Boseman’s appearance.

Reflecting on the incident, Jess explained that she, like many others, assumed Boseman’s weight loss was part of his preparation for an upcoming role, unaware of the illness he was quietly battling.

“This is the only regret that I have in my career,” Jess admitted. “He had made a video around COVID, asking people to stay in the house, because, you know, COVID was spreading, it was dangerous. I thought he was just losing weight for a movie. He was a phenomenal, method actor, after all.”

Jess expressed sadness over her misunderstanding, sharing that she felt deeply for Boseman after learning he had been dealing with cancer.

“I said something about how he looked, not realizing that man was struggling,” she added, acknowledging the unexpected impact the moment had on her.

Boseman, beloved for his powerful roles in films like Black Panther and 42, kept his illness private, making his passing in August 2020 a shock to fans and the industry alike.
