R&B singer Keyshia Cole is reportedly among the many Californians facing unimaginable loss due to the devastating wildfires sweeping Los Angeles.
According to her hairstylist, Jonathan Wright, Cole’s home was destroyed while she was away in Miami.
Wright broke the news on Instagram, sharing heart-wrenching images and videos of the charred remains of Cole’s property. Debris, burned furniture, and collapsed structures were all that remained of the singer’s once-beautiful home.
“@keyshiacole Prayers to Freen and her kids and family,” Wright wrote, using a nickname for the artist. “Literally, a week ago we were in Miami, and now to come home to this? It’s crazy. Freen wasn’t gonna say anything, but I feel like she should, because this is beyond devastating.”
Fans and Celebrities Rally Support
Fans quickly flooded Wright’s post with messages of support.
“Sending love and prayers to her and her family. This is heartbreaking,” one wrote. Another added, “Celebrities are human too. This loss is unimaginable.”
Fellow stars also sent their condolences. R&B icon Monica commented:
“Praying for KC and the boys! Thanking God they’re unharmed, but this is beyond traumatic!”
Reality TV star Juju Castaneda echoed the sentiment, writing:
“Sending love and strength.”
Cole has yet to publicly address the loss, but the outpouring of love highlights the continued impact of the fires, which have claimed 24 lives and destroyed over 12,000 homes.
Relief Efforts Intensify
In response to the crisis, celebrities are stepping up to assist those affected. Halle Berry pledged her wardrobe to The Coop, a boutique providing essential goods to wildfire victims.
Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation launched the LA Fire Relief Fund, contributing $2.5 million to rebuilding efforts in Altadena and Pasadena.
“Los Angeles, we stand with you,” BeyGOOD shared in a statement.
