Cardi B left fans gagging, laughing, and clutching their pearls when she casually explained why she dropped a “glory hole” reference in her new single Imaginary Playerz.

The Bronx rapper didn’t hold back while chatting with fans on Apple Music. “You know what’s so funny? Everybody asking me like, how do she know about glory holes?” Cardi said with her signature grin. “I be telling ya, I am a gay man. There’s a gay man that lives inside me. A whole gay man. He’s a butch queen. He lives inside of me.”

For those who aren’t tapped into queer culture, a “butch queen” is a gay man who mixes both masculine and feminine energies, a nod to ballroom language that’s been shaping culture long before it hit mainstream.

Fans immediately hit social media to react. Some were amused, others screamed “same sis,” and many were impressed by how easily Cardi can merge humor, queerness, and shock value into one viral moment.

A glory hole, often referred to in sexual slang, is an opening in a barrier intended for discreet interactions.

The wild revelation connects directly to her music. Imaginary Playerz follows her single Outside, both leading up to her much-anticipated sophomore album Am I The Drama, which drops next month. The project promises 23 tracks, including the viral smash “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion and her 2021 hit “Up.” Considering this is her first full-length album since her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy, fans are expecting Cardi to bring more of the unexpected!
