Michelle Obama Finally Reveals Melania Trump’s Inauguration Day Gift to her

During Trump’s Inauguration ceremony, Michelle Obama was handed a beautifully wrapped Tiffany’s box from Melania Trump. The exchange went down as one of the most awkward giftings in history – with Michelle Obama looked flustered after she took possession of the package.

Viewers across the globe wondered what Melania could have possibly given to Michelle – well thanks to Ellen Degeneres, we finally know what was in the box!

During her interview on the Ellen Show (her first television interview since leaving the White House,) Michelle revealed that Melania had given her a “lovely frame.”

When asked about why the incident was so awkward, Michelle has a good reason for it, replying:

“Well, there’s all this protocol. I mean, this is like a state visit, so they tell you that you’re going to do this, they’re going to stand here, and never before do you get this gift, so I’m sort of like, OK. What am I supposed to do with this gift?” She goes on to add – “And everyone cleared out and no one would come and take the box. And I’m thinking, ‘Do we take the picture with…?’ And then my husband saved the day – see he grabbed the box and took it back inside. But everybody cleared out. No staff, no one. I was like, ‘What do you do with the box?’”
