U.S. Representative Shontel Brown is calling on small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs across Northeast Ohio to attend the 4th annual OH-11 Small Business Expo & Conference, a free event aimed at supporting business growth and innovation.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tri-C Corporate College Campus.

According to Brown, the expo is designed to provide practical tools, expert insights, and networking opportunities for individuals at various stages of their entrepreneurial journey.

“If you are a small business owner or looking to begin your entrepreneurial pursuits, then the OH-11 Small Business Expo and Conference is where you need to be,” Brown said in a video announcement shared on social media.

The congresswoman emphasized that the event will feature a comprehensive program, including expert-led panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and opportunities for attendees to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

Organizers say the goal is to equip participants with actionable strategies to scale and sustain their businesses.

The expo is open to the public at no cost, a move Brown says is intentional in lowering barriers to access for underserved communities and first-time entrepreneurs.

Small business development remains a critical focus in Ohio’s 11th Congressional District, where local leaders have increasingly prioritized resources, education, and funding access to support economic growth.

Events like the OH-11 Expo are part of broader efforts to strengthen local economies by fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.

Registration for the event is currently open through the congresswoman’s official website.
