AOC Responds To Vulgar Insult From Republican Congressman

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has alleged that a Republican congressman “disgusting” and “crazy” while pointing his finger in her face in a heated confrontation on Monday.

Ocasio-Cortez, said Ted Yoho of Florida, approached her during the first confrontation on the steps up to the Capitol and continued to hurl insults at her even as she walked away.

“I hear him just kind of like lobbing these insults at me but I just kept walking into votes,” she told reporters on Tuesday.

“You are out of your freaking mind,” Yoho, who’s soon to be retiring from his Florida seat this year, told Ocasio-Cortez. She then called “rude,” before making her way into the Capitol to cast her vote — it was then that the Republican allegedly called her a “f*cking b*tch.”

The Hill spoke to the progressive Democrat, who was left stunned by the encounter.

“That kind of confrontation hasn’t ever happened to me — ever,” she said. “I’ve never had that kind of abrupt, disgusting kind of disrespect levied at me.”

GOP Rep. Roger Williams was with Yoho at the time of his meltdown but claimed he was unaware of the topic of their discussion.

“I was actually thinking, as I was walking down the stairs, I was thinking about some issues I’ve got in my district that need to get done,” Williams said. “I don’t know what their topic was. There’s always a topic, isn’t there?”

Ocasio-Cortez disputed Williams’ account, stating that Monday was the first time she’d ever spoken with Yoho.
