A tense dispute between conservative commentator Candace Owens and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has escalated.

TPUSA has confirmed it will proceed with a livestream addressing allegations surrounding Charlie Kirk’s death without Owens’ participation.

The conflict centers on Owens’ request to join the December 15 livestream virtually. Owens, citing a scheduling conflict with her own live show, proposed participating remotely. TPUSA, however, rejected the proposal, effectively shutting her out of the event.

The disagreement stems from Owens’ previous accusations that TPUSA “betrayed” Kirk, who died under controversial circumstances on September 10. TPUSA announced that it would issue a formal response to her claims, but Owens argued that the livestream had been scheduled without her consultation.

Blake Neff of TPUSA publicly addressed the situation on X, stating:

“Yesterday, we made it clear that we would be scheduling a formal response to the allegations and accusations you have made. We’ve decided that response will be delivered during a livestream on December 15th. Thank you for your response letting us know you will not be joining the in-person conversation. We will be proceeding without you.”

Owens maintained she had not refused to participate, explaining that she hosts a live podcast at the same time and could only join remotely:

“December 15th does not work in-person and 2pm PT is also literal time I do my podcast LIVE everyday (which you knew), but we will happily cancel the daily podcast and will join you guys virtually instead for the livestream on the 15th if that works on your end?”

The rejection of her virtual participation has fueled online speculation that Owens is avoiding a direct confrontation, although she insists she remains willing to debate the matter.

The upcoming livestream is expected to draw intense attention, as the controversy over Kirk’s death and Owens’ claims continues to dominate conservative media discourse.

Analysts note that the confrontation underscores the increasingly combative nature of online political commentary, where control over narratives can become as significant as the underlying facts.
