Rapper Cardi B has thrown her support behind Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett in the state’s U.S. Senate primary, urging voters to rally behind the Democrat as early voting enters its final stretch.
In a video shared on social media, Cardi B explained that her endorsement for Crockett stems from her reputation as an aggressive advocate for constituents.
“If you want somebody that’s going to fight for your rights, if you want somebody to fight for your community, if you want somebody that’s going to go up there and represent you and your issues — please vote for my sister, Jasmine Crockett,” the artist said.

She stressed that Crockett’s willingness to confront political opponents was a key reason for her support.
“One thing about it is she’s going to fight her best,” Cardi B said. “She’s going to fight whoever she has to so your voice and your problems can be heard.”
The endorsement comes as Crockett faces a competitive Democratic primary race against Texas state Rep. James Talarico and candidate Ahmad R. Hassan.
Crockett later shared the video on social media, thanking the rapper and urging supporters to take advantage of the remaining days of early voting.
Cardi B has increasingly used her platform to engage in political advocacy, previously backing figures such as former Vice President Kamala Harris and progressive leaders including Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
She has also previously openly criticised the Biden administration’s policies.
Political observers say high-profile endorsements can play a significant role in energizing younger voters and boosting visibility in tightly contested primaries.
