Casandra Ventura-Fine, known as Cassie, is reportedly collaborating with federal agents in the investigation of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs following recent raids on his Los Angeles and Miami residences.
According to TMZ, the singer-songwriter is among the witnesses cooperating with authorities and may have been assisting for “several weeks.”
While it’s speculated that Cassie’s testimony might have contributed to the authorization of search warrants for Diddy’s properties, this remains unconfirmed.
The chain of events leading to scrutiny on Diddy began when Cassie filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023, alleging rape, sex trafficking, battery, and other offenses.
In a statement, Cassie revealed her decision to break her silence, citing the need to speak out against violence and abuse in relationships.
Detailing her experiences with Diddy since their relationship commenced in 2005, Cassie outlined a pattern of control and abuse, including allegations of manipulation, drug-facilitated assaults, and coercive sexual encounters. The lawsuit was settled after one day.
Sources close to Cassie disclosed to US Weekly that she feels supported and empowered by her decision to come forward, emphasizing the trauma she endured during her relationship with Diddy.
Initially, Cassie wasn’t the sole witness prepared to testify against Diddy. Ethiopia Habtemariam, former CEO of Motown, was also implicated but has since refuted her involvement, asserting she has no personal knowledge of any wrongdoing by Combs.
In a statement, Habtemariam clarified her position, denying any basis for the claims made against her in the lawsuit. Her name, along with others’, was mentioned by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones in the latest legal action against Diddy.
