Ciara recently showed her support for Megan Thee Stallion’s new single, “Roc Steady,” which features a sample from her 2004 hit, “Goodies.”

Megan Thee Stallion dropped Megan: Act II last Friday, October 25, featuring 13 songs and following the June release of Megan. The deluxe edition includes 12 new tracks and the bonus track “Neva Play” featuring RM from BTS. Other guests include Twice hopping on the “Mamushi” remix, Flo Milli, and Spiritbox. The original “Mamushi” is currently ranked No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100.

MEGAN: ACT II features a metamorphosis, with Megan poised with butterfly wings representing growth and transformation.

Earlier this week, fans got into a tense argument after noticing that one song on the Megan Act II album, “Roc Steady,”” samples Ciara’s “Goodies.”” Apparently, Stunna Girl had released a song,  “Stand Up,” with YG, which also sampled Goodies, but Ciara had it taken down promptly.

Stunna Girl was asked to remove the track from YouTube due to copyright infringement. The single does remain on her DSP accounts, but Stunna Girl was incredibly frustrated over the whole debacle.

At that time, she took to social media to call out the “Level Up” singer for shutting her down. “I literally hate when producers use samples. These artists be actin’ like they made the beat. It’s so many people that used that beat, but @ciara team writing me saying she personally contacted them about me.”

After that fracas in January, things have remained dormant until this past weekend.

It seems Ciara cleared “Goodies” for Megan Thee Stallion, not Stunna Girl.

Ciara took to social media, posting a video with Roc Steady playing in the background. Her simple caption, “Roc Steady,” was enough to convey her endorsement.

The Hoston rapper also reposted Ciara’s post excitedly, captioning it “wooow” and expressing her gratitude with heart-eyed emojis.

Megan collaborates with the equally spunky Flo Milli on “Roc Steady,” serving up a soundtrack that samples Ciara’s debut R&B classic “Goodies.”
