Danielle Moodie Declares Split With Democrats: ‘I’m Done From the Democratic Party’

by Gee NY

Political commentator and podcast host Danielle Moodie has posted a fiery message on social media declaring her disillusionment with the Democratic Party.

In the post, shared to her account @deetwocents, Moodie wrote bluntly:

“I’m done with the Democratic Party!”

She expanded on that sentiment in an accompanying video from her podcast, criticizing party leadership for lacking energy and conviction in their fight against extremism.

“You know what it is? I don’t even care if you lose, if you go into a fight with some fucking grit and passion and force behind you, because it shows that you’re a fighter, that you’re willing to risk something. That’s not this Democratic Party,” Moodie said.

Moodie argued that real change will not come from politicians but from grassroots movements.

“If the people find their way out of fascism, folks, it’s gonna be off the strength of the people of this country going 10 toes down for each other and for the belief that we can, with each generation, perfect this very imperfect union.”

Her criticism extended beyond Democrats, blasting what she called the American Fascist Party, and this lap dog fucking Democratic Party.”

Moodie ended her remarks by distancing herself from the notion of party loyalty.

“I’m not interested in swearing my allegiance to Democrats any longer,” she said.

The comments reflect growing frustration among progressives who believe the Democratic Party has failed to confront right-wing extremism with sufficient urgency.

Moodie’s break is evidence of a wider political conversation about whether grassroots energy can fill the void left by institutional paralysis.
