Erykah Badu hopped on Twitter to make light of her recent COVID-19 test result.
The singer revealed that she was recently tested for the deadly virus — but the results were not what anybody expected.
“No symptoms. Was tested for COVID. Same machine. Left nostril positive. Right nostril negative,” she tweeted. “Maybe they need to call Swiss Beats so they can do a versus between them. Funny this is, Dr. ONLY reported the positive result. What the fack is going on here. Rapid Test. $$$$ smh.”
She then shared a screenshot of her results.
“What an inconvenience to be tested positive then negative 3x after within 24 hours. Same test. We understand that they aren’t 100% accurate but this is strange,” she tweeted.
It appears that Badu was not the only celebrity who has encountered this quirk.
“Something extremely bogus is going on,” Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk wrote. “Was tested for covid four times today. Two tests came back negative, two came back positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse. Rapid antigen test from BD.”
The United States has reported more than 11 million citizens have tested positive for COVID-19. Tragically, more than 240,000 people have succumbed to the deadly virus.
Her home state of Texas recently surpassed the one million mark of residents who have tested positive. The state is averaging more than 7,000 new cases per day and the numbers continue to rise. Authorities are urging Texans to wear masks whenever they are in public and to social distance.
