Megan Thee Stallion has started a fresh controversy brewing, and it’s got everyone talking and arguing! A fan at a recent meet and greet got a little too handsy with the rap queen, prompting security to step in.
But here’s where it gets wild: some people on the internet are claiming Megan “called for it” with her song lyrics.
The incident unfolded at what appeared to be a promotional event for Megan’s new tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas (more on that in a bit!). The Grammy winner was looking stunning, sporting her signature long, dark, wavy hair, large hoop earrings, a shimmering gold or bronze bralette-style top, and fitted blue jeans. The fan, a man wearing a light-colored, patterned short-sleeved shirt and light pants, smiled and looked at the camera as he posed with Megan. But then, things took a turn.
Instead of respectfully placing his hands on her waist or back for the photo, the man put his hands squarely on her hips, covering her buttocks. Megan’s reaction was immediate. Her mouth flew open in a shocked expression, her eyes wide, before she quickly took his hands off. Security wasted no time, promptly sweeping the fan away.
Now, the internet, as it always does, is completely divided on this one. On one side, we have those arguing that Megan’s music and public persona somehow invite this kind of behavior. One comment read, “She talks about promiscuity in her songs. She exposes herself in her videos. Always twerking, and she expects men to treat her with respect and dignity. She herself wouldn’t want her daughter to listen to her songs. That’s how bad of a role model she is. I don’t blame the dude”. Another echoed, “I don’t see the big deal. He only treated her how she presents herself”.
Many also defended Megan, emphasizing that no matter how someone presents themselves, personal boundaries must always be respected. “Some fans really forget it’s a meet and greet, not a grab and hold. There’s a line, and bro was about to cross it,” one user wisely commented. Another powerfully stated, “No matter how freaky anyone presents themselves, you still have to respect them and vice versa…… I’m speaking for men and women”. Another added, “Definitely a lot of predators in the comments.”
