New York rapper Young M.A announced on social media that she is checking herself into rebab.
“MAB I’ll be back…boutta lose this addiction…omw to rehab,” she wrote on Instagram.
On Twitter, the “BIG” rapper shared another message to her fans:
“Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you,” she tweeted.
Young M.A did not specify the nature of her addiction. But in her music and on social media, she has mentioned her affinity for Hennessey and spoken about her “sippy cup.”
“I’m Henny’d up, styrofoam, call that bitch my sippy cup,” she raps on “Henny’d Up.” “High as sh*t, pssy drunk, probably f*cked my kidneys up/ Fendi down, Fendi up.”
In 2019, the rapper snapped at fans on Instagram Live who accused her of using cocaine:
“Yo, y’all be sayin’ some crazy sh*t. Don’t say no sh*t like that on my Live, bro. Talkin’ ’bout sniffing coke off- what is this? Somebody said, ‘Sniffin’ glue- sniff coke off your strap.’ Y’all crazy, bro?” she said.
“For real? Like, come on son. Don’t talk like that, bro, on my Live, man. I don’t got people like that. You know what I’m sayin’? That coke sh*t? I don’t do that. I don’t pop no pills, I don’t sniff no coke, nothing, bro. The most I do- I drink and smoke some weed. Y’all n*ggas wildin’ with that sh*t. That sh*t ain’t even cute. For real.”
