Gayle King boldly flirted with Lenny Kravitz during a television interview. As a result, King’s cougar ways have gone viral, thanks to a video viral video from her “CBS Mornings” interview with the rock star.
Lenny Kravitz has been promoting the album Blue Electric Light on a media tour, including CBS Mornings.
When Gayle King and Lenny Kravitz had a sit-down interview on “CBS Mornings,” Gayle displayed remarkable courage. Without hesitation, the 69-year-old broadcast journalist fearlessly asked the rock star if he had any other “significant other” in his life.
In a snippet of King’s exclusive interview with Kravitz, which CBS released on Friday, Gayle inquired about Lenny’s romantic history and present state of relationships.
“Do you have a significant other in your life? And can I beat her a– if she is?” she asked Lenny Kravitz.
“Oops. Did I say that out loud?” King quipped with a smile as she then placed her hand over her mouth. “Wow,” said Kravitz. She insisted, “And I’m not violent, Lenny Kravitz!”
Kravitz couldn’t help but laugh at Gayle’s remarks, which then he replied, “Right now, I’m just open. It’s hard not to look; when you desire something, you’re looking for it, right? But I find that when you don’t look, it is when you find it.”
“And I’m at a place where I’ve said this for several years, I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready, and I wasn’t ready, I thought I was ready. But I can say that I’ve never felt how I feel now,” Kravitz explained.
Gayle King has only ever been pictured in a committed public relationship with one man: William Bumpus, an assistant attorney from Connecticut and her ex-husband. After 11 years of marriage, King accused her ex-partner of infidelity, and their unhappy ending ended in 1993. However, their daughter Kirby and son Will were born out of their union.
