GloRilla and Young Thug’s beef started after the rapper made some harsh comments about her appearance during a call with his girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist.
In the clip that’s been making the rounds, Thug is heard mocking the Memphis rapper, calling her “ugly” and critiquing everything from her wig to the shape of her head. He even stated emphatically that he would “never pursue her, at all, ever.”
This incident has only added to a series of leaked calls where Thug has made jabs at other artists like Gunna, Kendrick Lamar, and even members of Migos.
But GloRilla wasn’t about to take it lying down. She took to Twitter with a witty comeback that had fans laughing. “Mind you dis da same n***a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo,” she tweeted. While she didn’t mention Thug directly, it was clear who she was referencing.
The situation took a turn when, as fans were dissecting her tweet, Young Thug posted an apology online. “@GloTheofficial, first of all, I’m sorry to u for my words, and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all. I was speaking from jail, just having a hard time with life,” he wrote. He added, “I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did. I’m sorry to u, twin.”
However, in a typical rap-world twist, the apology was short-lived, as Thug deleted the post just minutes later, leaving fans questioning its sincerity or whether it was merely a move to save face.
