Halle Bailey and DDG are basking in a proud parent moment as their baby boy, Halo, officially took his first steps, and the heartwarming milestone was captured on camera for all to see!
In December last year, Halle Bailey and her former partner, rapper DDG, set aside their disagreements to joyfully celebrate their son Halo’s first birthday. The special occasion included cheerful moments and a Cocomelon-themed celebration.
The 24-year-old star of The Little Mermaid shared her life with her 27-year-old partner, who documented all the festivities at the Cocomelon-themed celebration for his PontiacMadeDDG YouTube vlog. The one-hour vlog peaked when all the attendees exited the parking lot behind the rented venue as a friend arrived in a $600K Ferrari for his son’s first birthday gift.
Although they parted ways in October, Bailey and DDG seemed together for their child’s significant occasion. Their separation followed almost a year of co-parenting. In October, DDG remarked, “After careful consideration, Halle and I have chosen to take different paths. We remain best friends and have great affection for one another.”
During a recent livestream, the couple shared a glimpse of family life that had fans gushing. In the clip, Halle is seen holding up a toy to grab Halo’s attention. With his tiny feet full of determination, the little one toddles straight toward his mom, arms wide open, before jumping into her embrace.
The room filled with joy as Halle’s face lit up with pride, while Halo let out some adorable squeals to celebrate his big achievement.
But the excitement didn’t stop there. In another sweet moment from the live stream, proud dad DDG stepped in to assist Halo with his walking practice. While admitting his nerves about letting his son go too soon, the rapper couldn’t hide his amazement as Halo confidently made his way back to Halle. “He has no fear,” DDG remarked with a smile, clearly in awe of his fearless little boy.
Their co-parenting journey hasn’t been without challenges. Bailey voiced concerns over a past livestream involving Halo, emphasizing her role as his “mother and protector.” Despite her severe criticism, DDG defended her publicly, stating, “I don’t appreciate when people try to put me against her. We’re navigating something hard together.”
