Ice Spice is striking while the iron is hot.
In a new ad for Dunkin’ that premiered during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, the Bronx rapper is seen alongside Ben Affleck, who is seen in the commercial gulping down the new Ice Spice Munchkins Drink.
Ben, originally from Boston, has long been known to be a Dunkin’ devotee, growing up drinking the restaurant chain’s popular beverages.
“Things with Dunkin’ are going well. Big promotion. Made me brand ambassador,” Ben said with his Boston accent while walking with a Dunkin’ drink.
He is then seen sitting alongside the Munch star while they brainstorm ideas for the name of their restaurant’s latest drink.
“How are people going to connect you with Dunkin’?” Ben questions.
“I’m a Dunkin’ girl,” the Barbie World 23-year-old star says.
“I’m not seeing it,” he responds.
“Ice Spice. My fans are the munchkins,” she replies, eliciting the Batman actor to reframe what she meant.
“Ice Spice Munchkins drink,” she responds.
The 51-year-old husband to fellow Bronx star Jennifer Lopez is then seen disregarding the idea but suggests they collaborate.
Affleck seemingly ignores the idea and suggests a collaboration.
“We’ll call it Vanilla Ice spice,” he says before rapping a verse, which leaves Ice Spice at a loss for words.
All in all, the commercial has definitely attracted the attention of many who think both parties had great chemistry on set.
For the first time ever, Dunkin’ is combining their two popular treats: their Frozen Coffee with Pumpkin Munchkins Donut Hole Treats, and have topped it with whipped cream and caramel. It has officially been called The Ice Spice Munchkins Drink, which is only available for a limited time while supplies last.
“Pumpkin spice season has gotten a bit predictable lately, so we sought help from our friends Ben Affleck and Ice Spice to create a new pumpkin obsession that only Dunkin’ can offer,” Dunkin’ chief marketing officer Jill McVicar Nelson said in a statement, adding that the new offering is “not your ordinary pumpkin drink!”
“I’ve always been a Dunkin’ girl!” Ice Spice said in a statement. “[There is] a little something in the name.”
