Jada Pinkett Smith says that Will Smith’s alleged gay outing is all part of a shakedown by the man calling himself Will’s former assistant to extort money from them.
The “Red Table Talk” host appeared Thursday on “The Breakfast Club” radio show, addressing the new rumor about her husband.
She made it clear to Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy that the allegations were untrue. She also disclosed that Will Smith will be pursuing legal action.
“It’s ridiculous, right? And it’s nonsense. And this is a person that tried a shake-down, a money shake-down that didn’t work [and] we’re going to take legal action. Because it’s one thing to have your opinion about somebody versus just making up salacious, malicious stories.”
Brother Bilaal, who started the story, claims to have formerly worked as Smith’s assistant. He revealed in an interview on the “Unwine with Tasha K” podcast that he walked in on Smith and Duane Martin having sex on set.
Jada explained how and why this person (Brother Bilaal) was burnt on destroying Will Smith.
“Well, yeah, there was a money shakedown. It’s based around this person’s idea that they in some way were doing business around Will’s book, and they expected money… and that he needs to be compensated.”
According to Will Smith’s wife, the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” was ready to pay this person some money, which was rejected.
When asked why Will Smith would want to pay this person if they were lying, Jada said Will would have done it because he is a good person.
“Here’s ne good thing about Will. Will is always going to find it funny. He’s always going to find it funny,” she said.
In the meantime, Will Smith’s rep has denied the claims.
