A horrifying crime shook a community in southwest Houston following the murder of a 38-year-old mother, Jameka Williams on Nov. 10.
The tragedy unfolded on the evening at a residence on Bird Run Drive, as Williams three daughters said they witnessed the chilling murder.
Williams’ boyfriend, 40-year-old Christopher Lee Levels, allegedly shot her as she prepared to go out with friends.
Sources suggest that Levels, overwhelmed by jealousy, committed the gruesome act, leaving Williams dead in front of her children.
Levels has since turned himself in and is facing murder charges in the brutal murder incident.
According to Fox 26 Houston, Jaterra, Williams’ sister, expressed her shock and sorrow by stating:
“She was in the mirror combing her friend, about to go out with her friends, and he couldn’t handle it and just did that to her. I was shocked…But I did see it coming. He was very jealous of her.”
As the community mourns the loss of a beloved mother and individual, the heinous crime has spotlighted the pervasive issue of domestic violence.
The family of the victim urges those facing violent or dangerous partners to seek help immediately.
In the wake of this tragedy, the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233 stands as a crucial resource for those in need of assistance.
