The bitter, years-long child support battle between Eliza Reign, one of Future’s eight baby mamas, and the rapper has finally reached a dramatic financial verdict.
Eliza Reign, who had been demanding an eye-watering $53,000 per month to support their daughter, reportedly had that massive request denied. Instead, a judge has ordered Future to pay the much smaller sum of $3,200 per month.
The difference between the requested and ordered amounts is stark, highlighting the intense financial conflict at the heart of their dispute.
Eliza Reign had taken Future to court, arguing that her daughter, Reign, deserves a “celebrity-kind-of-treatment” to match the rapper’s wealth and status. According to her filing, the $53,000 was necessary to maintain the lifestyle appropriate for the child of a high-earning celebrity.
Future, however, strongly pushed back against the claim, even publicly accusing Reign of being a “golddigger” who plotted to get pregnant by a rich man. He reportedly argued in court that paying $50,000 per month would bankrupt him, claiming he isn’t even worth $100,000.
After assessing the case and the financial details, the judge ultimately sided closer to Future’s defense, rejecting Reign’s monumental demand and settling on the $3,200 figure.
The legal conflict between Eliza Reign and Future has been ongoing since before their daughter’s birth. Reign first sued Future in 2018 for paternity, child support, and custody, a move that prompted the rapper to blast her publicly and even file a defamation lawsuit.
Future initially dragged his feet on the entire process, delaying a DNA test for several months. Once the test was finally conducted, it came back positive, confirming he was the father, leading him to drop his defamation suit.
Future’s highly public co-parenting life, reportedly paying child support for over ten children with eight different women, has made these court battles a subject of intense scrutiny and public commentary. Last year, the drama even pulled in Summer Walker, who criticized Reign’s original $53,000 request.
