Kamala Harris Partners with Ben & Jerry’s to Launch ‘Coconut Justice’ Ice Cream Flavor

by Gee NY

In a sweet twist to her advocacy for social justice, Vice President Kamala Harris has teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s to introduce a new ice cream flavor, “Coconut Justice.”

This limited-edition flavor features a creamy coconut base, fair-trade chocolate chunks, and caramel swirls, symbolizing the ongoing fight for racial and economic equality.

The collaboration underscores both Harris’ commitment to social justice and Ben & Jerry’s longstanding dedication to progressive causes. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of “Coconut Justice” will benefit organizations focused on promoting social justice and racial equity, aligning with the Vice President’s political priorities.

Harris remarked, “Coconut has always been one of my favorite flavors, but this partnership is about more than just ice cream—it’s about continuing the conversation around equity, fairness, and community.”

Ben & Jerry’s, known for its creative flavors and social advocacy, has previously engaged with influential figures to highlight key issues. “Coconut Justice” is anticipated to garner attention not only for its unique taste but also for its powerful message.

Availability and Promotion

The new ice cream flavor will hit select stores nationwide starting in October, with additional availability through the Ben & Jerry’s website. In conjunction with this launch, MoveOn Political Action is rolling out its “Scoop the Vote” tour on September 16, aiming to boost voter turnout ahead of the November 5 election. The tour will feature an ice cream truck, free ice cream giveaways, and appearances by prominent figures.

MoveOn, in collaboration with Ben & Jerry’s co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, will also raffle off autographed pints of the “Coconut Justice” flavor as part of the tour.

The kickoff event will take place in Philadelphia, coinciding with the start of early voting in Pennsylvania. The tour will traverse more than 20 cities in key swing states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada, offering free ice cream, voter engagement opportunities, and rallies with elected officials and activists.

This partnership highlights the increasing role of social responsibility and advocacy in brand collaborations, reflecting a growing consumer preference for aligning with brands that support meaningful causes.
