Saturday Night Live has confirmed that Keke Palmer will make her debut as host on the popular sketch comedy show December 3. The 29-year-old actress announced the news to her 11 followers on Instagram.

“I can’t wait,” Keke captioned her post. “The stage awaits @nbcsnl.”

It has also been confirmed that soul singer SZA will feature as the special musical guest, who also posted the news on Instagram.

“Can’t believe this is happening lmao,” she wrote. “I plan on acting a fucki*g fool. See you soon, New York.”

The 33-year-old artist’s appearance comes after her successful 2017 CTRL album, which pushed her into the mainstream. The album birthed five hit singles – all making consistent rotations on radio stations across the country. Last year, she released I Hate U, which also appeared on several musical charts.

SZA recently won a Grammy for her track Kiss Me More, featuring Doja Cat. The two took home the award for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance.

Born Lauren Keyana Palmer, Keke has also remained a household name since making her 2004 acting debut in Barbershop 2: Back in Business.

Since then she has received a Primetime Emmy Award, five NAACP Image Awards, and nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2019, she was named one of TIME magazine’s Most Influential People in the World.

SZA, born Solána Imani Rowe, built critical acclaim since she began making music in the early 2010s. She is known for co-writing Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj’s hit single Feeling Myself and she grew to international stardom after featuring on Rihanna’s well-received song Consideration.

The song would go on to debut at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart. Her debut studio album, CTRL was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and earned her four nominations, including Best New Artist.
