You & I songstress Keke Wyatt is requesting prayers after sharing with her 1.7 million Instagram followers that her newborn son, Ke’Zyah Jean Darring, is back in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to help treat Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome), a genetic disorder in which a person has three copies of genetic material from chromosome 13, instead of the usual two copies.

In a video she posted of her holding her son while riding in an ambulance to the hospital, she wrote, “In the EMS BACK TO THE PICU… plz 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.”

Just one day before asking for prayers, the Indiana native posted a video of her holding her infant son while he was sleeping. At the time, he had just come home after he was back in the hospital a little over a week before.

The mother of 11 gave birth to Ke’Zyah with her third husband Zackariah Darring in May 2022 and has been vocal about her son who was diagnosed with the syndrome at birth.

A day before the post, Keke shared a video showing herself cradling her infant son as he rested. At the time of the post, her little one had been home for a little over a week.

“My husband, Zackariah David Darring and I are proud to announce that our family will be adding a ‘plus 1’ to the Wyatt Bunch! #Baby11,” she announced on Instagram when she was expecting.

All of the 40-year-old’s 11 children come from three different marriages. She shares three with Rahmat Morton, four with Michael Ford, and two with Darring. She also has two daughters with both Ford and Darring, who share the girls from prior relationships.

“I think I have an anointing on motherhood,” Wyatt told ESSENCE in 2017. “I know it sounds funny, but I really think that it’s a gift of mine. That’s one of my many gifts [and] talents. It can be difficult, but when you love something and are passionate about it, it’s not really that hard.”
