This morning, CBS released the full interview with Megan Thee Stallion, who spoke out about the alleged shooting incident between her and Tory Lanez in July 2020.
This is Megan’s first televised interview about the incident. There have been many rumors circulating recently, including whispers that she and the Canadian rapper had been involved in a sexual relationship.
When asked directly by Gayle King, Megan denied she and Lanez were ever anything more than friends.
“Did you have a sexual relationship with Tory Lanez?” King asked.
“Ummm,” Megan responded, “I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.”
King then asked Megan why Lanez would claim they had been sexually involved.
“I think that he is trying to deflect from the fact that he committed a crime,” she explained.
Earlier on in the interview, Megan detailed the argument following a party at Kylie Jenner’s house. The Houston rapper says the cause of the argument was because she wanted to leave the party, and nobody else wanted to.
“I was ready to go, and everybody else wasn’t ready to go. But that’s, like, normal friend stuff. … We fuss about silly stuff all the time,” she explains. “But I never put my hands on anybody. I never raised my voice too loud. … It shouldn’t have got this crazy.
The rapper says the next few moments went by “fast.”
“All I hear is this man screaming. And he said, ‘Dance, b—ch.’ And he started shooting. And I’m just like, ‘Oh my God,” adding that he fired the weapon “a couple of times.”
Lanez will be unable to publicly address the interview as Megan Thee Stallion has been granted a gag order, which prevents him from speaking about the shooting or communicating with her directly.
