After years of insisting Oprah Winfrey owes her an apology despite Tyler Perry ordering her to apologize to Oprah first, the apology finally came – and it’s not pretty.
After receiving a minute-long standing ovation as she stepped on stage on her tour with Katt Williams, Mo’Nique unleashed more fire that put her Club Shay Shay interview to shame.
In her usual energetic self, the comedian addressed comments from her seniors and colleagues in the industry who felt she should have said what she said in the bombshell interview.
“You have to run to your apology. I listened to Brother Greg. I heard you, Brother Greg Matthews. I heard you, Steven.
“I want y’all to understand something about me. When I have communicated something wrong, I’m the B who will say sorry. I’m that B who’s going to own what I said. I’m the B who’s going to apologize,” Mo’que started.
Mo’Nique explained her 15-year feud with Oprah Winfrey during her sitdown with Shannon Sharpe. According to her, The Color Purple producer stole movie roles from her and got her blacklisted in the industry.
It all started in 2010 when Mo’Nique won the Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Lee Daniels’ drama “Precious.”
She recalled that after receiving her award, her husband, Sidney Hicks told her that Winfrey seemed bothered that the crowd was cheering for Mo’Nique and not her.
Mo’Nique disclosed that soon after that ‘bizarre’ episode, all the roles initially offered her went to Oprah.
And when she tried to rope in Tyler Perry to solve the issue, he asked her to apologize to Oprah publicly after he also spread lies about her.
Although Oprah and Tyler Perry have been mute since the viral interview, Mo’Nique is still on the roll.
“And I owe two motherf*kers an apology because I communicated some sht to them some years ago. Tyler Perry said I have to give him and Oprah Winfrey a public apology. And I’m going to give it right now tonight, in front of you n*ggas in Albany and New York.
“Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, I want to apologize by telling y’all to suck my d*ck!” Mo’Nique roared.
