Nicki Minaj has gone viral after promising to fly out a fan who was left heartbroken after missing a highly-anticipated meet-and-greet event in Cleveland with her.
The rap icon continues to prove she’s not just a rap queen but also a queen of the Barbz, showing once again why her fanbase is one of the most devoted in the world.
Fresh from her (Pink) Friday the 13th appearance at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Nicki Minaj made a “surprise” appearance at the DTLR shoe store at Tower City on Saturday.
On Saturday, fans of rap superstar Nicki Minaj were given their “moment for life” at a surprise meet-and-greet in Cleveland with the twelve-time Grammy-nominated artist.
Fans waited for hours at Tower City for the one known as Queen Nicki Minaj. Like any queen, she arrived a little late, but fans said the wait was worthwhile. Unfortunately, not everyone could see her even though they’d waited for so long.
The incident unfolded when a young Barbz shared a video online expressing her disappointment after missing the highly anticipated event.
The viral video showed a barbz, who had reportedly saved up for months to attend the event, could not hold back her tears while explaining the unfortunate circumstances of her missing the meet and greet.
She captioned the post, “Stood standing all day from 1pm to finally getting closer to the entrance just to announce meets are over. @NICKIMINAJ My heart is broken, mother. Thank you to the Barbz that had my back. #GagCityCleveland #NickixLøcixDTLR.”
The video quickly went viral online, and the Barbz, being the loyal army that they are, helped it reach Nicki herself. When Nicki saw her fans’ distress, she took to Twitter (now X) to respond.
“I’ll fly you plus 3 to another city, babe. Pick one on the tour & message Pedro on Twitter,” Nicki quickly reacted to the video.
In addition to her successful Pink Friday 2 world tour, Minaj recently released her LOCI line by Nicki Minaj footwear. DTLR carries six different styles all named for Minaj songs; Chun Li, The Pink Print, Red Ruby Da Sleeze, Press Play, Barbie Dangerous and Itty Bitty Piggy.
Nicki Minaj’s x LØCI shoes feature a regal stamp on the tongue, a visual nod to her reign as “Queen of Rap”.
