T’yanna Wallace, daughter of The Notorious B.I.G., is paying tribute to her father with the launch of Big Poppa’s Caribbean-Infused Steakhouse in New York City.
The restaurant, named after one of Christopher Wallace’s most iconic aliases, recently hosted a private tasting on March 9, marking the anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ death in 1997.
The event gave T’yanna the opportunity to preview dishes and gather feedback to finalize the menu. Photos from the tasting, shared on her Instagram, reveal an elegant interior and a menu that blends Caribbean flavors with classic steakhouse fare. Among the dishes showcased were sliders adorned with images of Biggie’s face and branded French fries boxes, signaling a clear connection to the rapper’s legacy. Lil Cease, a longtime friend of Biggie and member of Junior M.A.F.I.A., was among the attendees at the tasting.
Big Poppa’s represents the latest addition to T’yanna’s growing entrepreneurial ventures, which include a clothing store, a pop-up museum, and a pizzeria co-owned with Tyra Myricks, daughter of Run-DMC DJ Jam Master Jay.
