In a world where dating apps thrive on swipe-right hookups, one Texas woman is rewriting the rules of romance — no kisses, no sex, no compromises!
Meet Elezha Hudson, a 27-year-old who’s proudly saving both her first kiss and her virginity for marriage.
While friends and strangers alike are baffled — some even asking if she’s in a cult — Hudson insists she’s not missing out on anything.
“I’m a virgin and I’m saving this for marriage too,” she tells Kennedy News. “A kiss can sometimes lead to intimacy and I don’t want any of this before my wedding day.”
Hudson, who lives in Houston, admits she once struggled with shame about her inexperience but has since embraced her stance with confidence.
“At one point in high school, I did ask myself if I was scared of intimacy,” she shared. “I think it’s more about being intimate with someone that doesn’t really like me and they took something from me that’s important.”
Her boundaries tend to shock people her age.
“When I speak to people my age or younger, they are usually shocked and sometimes a bit disturbed,” she admitted. Some men she’s dated have even questioned if something’s “wrong” with her. Her reply? A shrug. “I don’t feel like I’m missing out.”
Hudson doesn’t avoid dating altogether, but she cuts things off quickly if men can’t respect her values.
“The conversation quickly goes to intimacy and they are normally taken aback when they hear that I’m 27 and a virgin,” she explained.
With her 30s on the horizon, Hudson isn’t budging.
“On my wedding day, I’m excited to share a kiss with someone who wants commitment,” she said. “I’m more excited about being with a person that I have a real connection with rather than the kiss itself.”
And if that day never comes? Hudson’s at peace.
“I’m comfortable with the idea that if it never happens, I’m not missing out on anything,” she declared. “If a family is what I desire, I can adopt and have a family. I will just be a kissless person.”
