An Atlanta woman has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she was found dancing on a police car after a night out on the town.

On Sunday, partygoers were gallivanting at the busy intersection of Edgewood Ave. and H. Borders Drive at around 3 AM when officers responded to a call of people disturbing the peace. Upon arrival, Atlanta Police Department cruisers flashed their blue lights to disperse hundreds of people when two women were found twerking next to a police car, according to Channel 2 Action News

Shortly thereafter, another woman, Atrina Jones, proceeded to hop on top of a police car and began dancing. Police say the crowd had encouraged her to do so – and she obliged.

After officers helped her get off the vehicle, they arrested her. She was charged with disorderly conduct and detained at the Atlanta City Jail.

Three others were charged with drug possession while officers attempted to clear the crowd.

“Robert Lewis, 37, was arrested for laying drag and possession of marijuana. Dalashia Moore, 31, was arrested for possession of marijuana. Ava Bradshaw, 41, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance,” according to Channel 2 Action News. “Lewis, Moore and Bradshaw were issued copies of their charges and discharged after signing the citation. They were not booked into the jail.”

According to Impact Law, “roughly half of all youth arrests are made on account of theft, simple assault, drug abuse, disorderly conduct, and curfew violations. OJJDP statistics show theft as the greatest cause of youth arrests.”

Furthermore, “a one-to-one ratio does not exist between arrests and crimes. In some cases,  one crime may result in several arrests (especially among youth, who frequently commit crimes in groups). In other cases, a number of crimes may result in only one arrest.”
