In a shocking turn of events, 27-year-old Brittani Harmon has been arrested for allegedly shooting her younger sister, Brianna Harmon, 25, in a calculated attempt to deflect blame onto her husband’s pregnant girlfriend.
The incident occurred at their shared home in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
On Thursday, Brittani called 911 from a Publix supermarket, claiming she had killed someone.
However, in a bizarre twist, she identified herself as her husband’s pregnant girlfriend and misled dispatchers about her location, falsely stating she was at Fast Access Healthcare.
Authorities quickly utilized GPS tracking to verify her actual location, leading them to her home on Thrush Hollow Lane.
Upon arrival, police discovered Brianna’s body with a gunshot wound to the head, covered with a white sheet. When questioned, Brittani provided a vague account of the day’s events, stating she and her sister had taken a nap on the couch.
She claimed that after waking, she saw Brianna using her phone, at which point she decided to call a Lyft to go to the grocery store.
However, video surveillance footage confirmed Brittani was at the Publix during the time of the murder, while Ring camera footage showed her entering and exiting their home around the time her sister was killed.
The investigation also revealed that a gun had been recovered from a car near the residence, further implicating Brittani in the crime.
As a result of the evidence gathered against her, Brittani Harmon has been charged with first-degree murder.
This tragic case has left the Chattanooga community in shock.
