Victoria Monét announced that she has canceled three shows, including the Governors Ball, due to “health issues.”

The Grammy-winning songstress has been forced to reschedule her highly anticipated appearances in Nashville, Philadelphia, and New York

Victoria Monét, who told her 1.8 million followers about her battle with PCOS, shared that she was devastated to announce that she would no longer be able to perform at the Governors Ball, Roots Picnic, or Blavity in June.

Last month, the singer talked about the physical changes she believes resulted from her battle with polycystic ovary syndrome on Instagram. Victoria Monét reflected on how her weight changed over time and how she came to love her changing body.

“Welp.. I gained a lot of weight, and it went a lot of places lol face, arms, tummy and most effectively… datassss,” she captioned the photo while describing the areas of her body where she saw changes.

The musician also shared a collage of images from the annual Indio, California music festival, suggesting that she maintains a positive outlook despite the changes to her body.

Unfortunately, these health problems seem to persist, and she has canceled some of her June festival performances, as announced on Instagram yesterday (May 20).

The 34-year-old confirmed that her appearances at June festivals like Governors Ball, Roots Picnic, and the Blavity House Party Music Festival will no longer continue.

“I am gutted to share that I will no longer be able to perform at Governors Ball (NYC), Roots Picnic (Philadelphia), or Blavity (Nashville) this June,” she wrote.

“I am so sorry!! 💔 Candidly, I have been dealing with some ongoing health issues that have to be addressed right now, but I will be back out there soon; that’s a promise!”

The singer-songwriter of “Party Girls” states that “all other shows” she has scheduled for the summer, such as the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, Chicago’s Lollapalooza, and Washington, D.C.’s Broccoli City Festival, “are still moving forward as planned.”

“Please know it wasn’t an easy call, but it’s definitely for the best.”
