Boxing champion Claressa Shields has issued a bold challenge to rapper Remy Ma, declaring she would be willing to step into the ring and “knock her out” for a mere dollar.
Claressa revealed she’s ready to step into the ring with Remy for just $1. But it’s not for the reason many people assumed.
During a recent interview with Jemele Hill, Shields addressed the ongoing feud with Remy Ma, emphasizing that her desire for a boxing match stems from a breach of privacy rather than any alleged romantic entanglements with Remy Ma’s husband, Papoose.
The conversation shifted to Remy Ma when they talked about Shields’ viral challenge of $100,000 to any woman who could defeat her in a fight. Shields mentioned that no one has accepted her challenge so far but expressed that she would think about facing Remy Ma for a significantly lower amount.
“It don’t have nothing to do with whatever else. It’s just that part alone. That part there is where it’s like… I’m a businesswoman, don’t leak my number. Why would you do that?” Shields explained, highlighting her frustration over Remy Ma allegedly leaking her phone number.
Shields firmly stated, “So people like, ‘Oh, she wants to fight her over a dude. Stop it!’ That is so beneath me. It’s the [disrespect] of the leaking my number part. And that’s it!”
“Why would you do that?” Shields rhetorically asked, adding, “I mean, drama sells. I’m not in that beef. My smoke with her is posting my number.”

The feud ignited when Remy Ma publicly accused her husband, rapper Papoose, of having an affair with Claressa Shields. Remy Ma leaked alleged text messages between Papoose and Shields, further fueling the fire.
The situation intensified as Remy Ma charged Papoose with conspiring to have her detained and colluding with another woman to sabotage her. Remy also claimed that Papoose had threatened to expose personal content as payback. In retaliation, Papoose publicly claimed that Remy had been unfaithful to him “multiple times” and branded her a “narcissist” as he defended himself and their young daughter.
As the exchange persists, it is uncertain if Shields and Remy Ma will eventually enter the ring or if this public dispute will cool off.
