Authorities in Richmond County are asking for the public’s help as search intensifies for five teenage girls who have been reported missing in Augusta over the past several days.
Three of the girls, 14-year-old Kaitlin Anderson, 17-year-old Tameka Thomas, and 16-year-old Gabriel Brennan, were last seen around midnight after reportedly leaving a group home located on Old Waynesboro Road. Both Thomas and Brennan were wearing ankle monitors at the time of their disappearance.
In a separate but equally urgent case, the Tuggle sisters, 13-year-old Jordan Tuggle and 16-year-old Janiyah Tuggle, were last seen together around 7 p.m. on Winston Way, just days apart from the others.
Authorities believe they may have left their location together.
The five cases are deeply concerning to officials due to the short timeframe in which the disappearances occurred and the possibility of vulnerabilities linked to their age, living situations, and previous monitoring.
