An OnlyFans creator’s private session with a client ended in death. Michaela Rylaarsdam, 29, who goes by the name Asshley SinCal online, is now facing a murder charge following the death of 56-year-old Michael Dale during what was meant to be a high-paying BDSM encounter.
Investigation reports indicate that Dale, a resident near San Diego, had paid Rylaarsdam over $11,000 for the experience in April 2023. What started as an arrangement for extreme fetish play devolved into a horrific incident, leaving Dale deceased and Rylaarsdam entangled in a homicide investigation.
According to police, Dale requested to be “mummified” using Saran Wrap. Rylaarsdam allegedly wrapped him tightly, taped his mouth, and glued women’s boots onto his feet as part of the session. At some point, he was left with a plastic bag over his head, secured with layers of duct tape, along with saran wrap around his neck.
Authorities later recovered videos from Rylaarsdam’s phone showing Dale gasping for breath during the session from footage that detectives believe was meant for her OnlyFans subscribers. By the time Rylaarsdam called 911, four hours had passed, and Dale was already in distress. Despite her attempts at CPR until paramedics arrived, Dale was pronounced brain-dead the following day and subsequently taken off life support. The medical examiner later determined the cause of death to be homicide due to asphyxia.
Rylaarsdam, a mother of three, told officers she had never engaged in this type of fetish play before and denied placing anything over Dale’s head, despite the video evidence and detailed police accounts.
Currently being held without bail at San Diego County’s Las Colinas Detention Facility, she has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
