Attorney LaToya McBean-Pompy, founder of McBean Immigration Law, delivered a heartfelt message to immigrants and families facing unprecedented uncertainty in the United States.
In a recent Instagram post, she acknowledged the pain and fear many are experiencing while urging them not to lose hope.
“Be faithful, even when the road is long. Every story matters. Every dream deserves a chance,” McBean-Pompy wrote to her 100,000-plus followers, accompanied by a video.
In the video, she spoke directly to those who feel overwhelmed, stressed, and even ready to leave America altogether.
“Things are the worst that I’ve ever seen them,” she said, recognizing that many immigrants now feel they are at a breaking point. Yet her message underscored resilience: “There are times in our life when we face situations that make us question everything. But remember—God has a plan. He is working all things out together for our good.”
Her comments arrive at a critical moment. An April 2025 feature published in The Guardian warns that Donald Trump’s second presidential term has already become “the most lawless and authoritarian in US history.”
Within his first 100 days, Trump has deported people without due process, pardoned January 6 rioters, defied judges’ orders, and has even jailed U.S. citizens abroad, some indefinitely.
Immigration advocates have flagged these actions as direct threats to constitutional protections, due process rights, and the very stability of immigrant families and Americans.
For attorneys like McBean-Pompy, who represent immigrants striving for lawful status, the stakes could not be higher.
Her message of faith and perseverance functions not only as spiritual encouragement but also as a reminder of the ongoing legal fight to defend civil liberties.
As she put it: “Things can change for you, things can turn around for you… God will turn it around and use it for your good and the good of others.”
